| Will a redtail boa eat a chamaeleon? | |||||
|
I current own a 8.5' 34 pound redtail boa. Is it possible for a chamaeleon to be within the same habitat as the snake without being eaten? My snake is mainly a floor dweller and I know chamaeleons mostly stay up in branches. Both animals require the same temperature and humidity ranges. The enclosure I use is pretty tall so they won't have much interaction with one another....unless one is suspected to be a meal. Yes, but only if your snake is hungry. Some eat only every once in awhile, as in a month or two, but I don't know A:What you feed your boa, B:Whether or not this is a kind of snake that can eat after long intervals. But yes, if s/he is hungry it will eat a chameleon. Oh, and I am definitely choosing you as best answer for my MSNBC question. Libertard. That's new to me. LMAO. . Reptiles do the Most Amazing Things: A Step Up Book The rtb will most definitely eat the chamaleon. And there's where you're wrong. The heat and humidity requirements for both animals are NOT the same. Chamaleons require a much higher humidity level. If you honestly believe yourself that they are the same and that a chamaleon can thrive with humidity levels of 50-60% then you shouldn't own one. Not to mention that you have to ask if you can house a large rtb with it. If you did your research on both these animals then you wouldn't have to. Yes, he will eat the chamaeleon. Never put two different species of reptiles in the same tank, especially with a snake. The boa will be able to stand a little to pick the chamaelion out of the branches, if he does not, the chamaelion will have to come down eventually, to eat or drink, the boa will be waiting. Sorry....but your boa will eat him. Can you blame the boa? After all, it's an easy meal. In the wild snakes eat lizards all the time. I hope this helps. www.legion-of-reptiles.webs.com YES HE WILL EAT THE CHAMELEON never house 2 diffrent species of aniamsl together no matter what yes
