| 4.5 month old kitten has bleeding gums? | |||||
|
I came home from work today, and I noticed that my 4.5 month old kitten was bleeding a little bit from his mouth. Not much, but he left a little bit of blood on a towel he was playing with. I looked in his mouth, and it looked like he had lost a couple of his baby molars. I thought the bleeding had stopped, but he just woke up from a nap on my arm, and there's blood on my sleeve. I've been home for about 4 hours now. I looked in his mouth again, and he's still bleeding from the same spots. Not gushing, just kind of a really slow ooze. Is this normal for kittens to bleed like this when they lose teeth? What can I do for him? He doesn't seem to be in any pain, but there's no way I can get him into the vet until tomorrow. Thanks. Wow, that doesn't sounds very normal nor healthy to me. I am sure you should put him in vet tomorrow. Maybe he been biting things too hard. And it bleed of course. Good Luck with you kitten. (hope the kitties feeling better) Call your vet tomorrow and ask about this. I have had 4 cats and I don't ever remember this happening. Could your kitty have run into something or otherwise hurt himself? . Experience owning cats (They Think They Own Us) LOL Wish my sisters cat had bleeding gums no i dont then i wouldnt be able to overfeed him (if you know what i mean from my previous question) no that is not normal at all. call your vet. kitty may have ate some glass or something else sharp that cut his gums. its serious. its has nothing to do with molars because cats dont bleed when cuting teeth
